If I don't get the chance to see Girl K perform "Hah" in a basement venue somewhere, I will be disappointed in myself.
The Chicago-based band originally started as the solo project of Kathy Patino and has quickly gained the respect of publications like Paste Magazine and NPR Music. Their indie-garage pop sound is colorful and energetic. They sound like the life of the party during an indie movie house party scene. I really hope to have the opportunity to see this EP live at some point in the near future.
